since day 1, I've kept video in 1080p when I shoot video. I figured it was pointless because I only have a 1080p HDTV.

however, I just realized that I may have been wrong? Someone told me that videos shot in 4k will look much better even when playing back on 1080p HDTV... :(

so..... have I been doing it wrong all this time? :(

Well, there's more to it than that. On this phone, you can record 1080P at 60 FPS (frames per second). If you record 4K on this phone, the frame rate is way lower. I prefer to do 1080P at 60 fps if those are my options, with the added bonus that I don't take up as much storage space as I would shooting 4k. This, from a guy with multiple 4K TV's
