To the OP: If you're still running 4.4.4 and you're satisfied with it, I would say wait for the 5.1.1 update. There are still a few issues with 5.0.1 that will, hopefully, be fixed in 5.1.1, which should be available in a couple of months.

I would suggest than back up phone and do factory reset ...very possible some apps don't like lollipop

Also I run Nova pro and woks great with it ...try a different launcher maybe before reset to factory settings.
Or Hola launcher find that one and Nova work perfect ...apps have no issues

Better yet, don't upgrade at all.

My lesson learned here is to wait a good long time after the update becomes available, and read feedback, before updating. I've gone from LOVING my Note 4 to being very frustrated with it.

And no I'm not keen on launchers. I used them in my Skyrocket and then on my SGIII 3 and honestly I don't enjoy them.

That's just me. Your mileage may vary.
