Should I upgrade?

Well I was long time apple user, but got my new Nexus 7 and I love it. I have iphone 4 atm, and I have a friend that needs iphone, and offering me samsung galaxy nexus (new) for direct exchange? Is nexus much better than iphone 4? Only thing that I think that I will miss is ios, but it seems that google play will get its way in this battle. So the main q is, how much better is Nexus than iphone 4? What I will get, and lose in this exchange?

The GNexus is quite a bit more powerful. I have both. But the GNexus is starting to slow down for me a little. I don't know if it's 4.2 or what. You will notice a difference between them. This is probably the end of updates for the iPhone 4. I don't know if you are using iOS 6 or not; I'm still using iOS 5 on mine as an iPod Touch. I hear iOS 6 can have problems on the iP4 but I can't personally say.

You will find that android os and the gnex is overall a better experience then ios and iphone4. My wife has the 4s, and i tinker with it all the time and i can tell u the user experience pails in comparison to jelly bean. Siri, maps, multitasking and the flow of the ui is a bit archaic compared to the gnex running jelly bean. Apple really has to change things up or else it will continue to loose mobile market share to google for sure.
