Should I wait for HTC 10 or Get S7?

If you really need an amazing phone now, go get am S7 or S7 edge. I have had my S7 for over 2 weeks now and it is still amazing me. The screen quality and the camera far exceeded my expectations. The battery is more than enough to last through the day, and the quick charge is super fast.

The galaxy s6 series glass build is as premium as it gets. HTC no longer has the advantage in build quality

I've used both and I can easily say that though both have amazing built qualities, rocking an HTC one device without any cover or skin feels 200% better and safer in the hand than the S6 or S7 series.

So if the M10 it's unlocked then it doesn't come with ask the carrier bloatware correct? What about the software updates? Do they get pushed right through? I'm on att and we get updates last.

I currently own a Samsung S6 which I think is a great phone. It has its issues, but in general I think it's a well built quality phone. Previously, I owned a HTC M7 which I really loved, both the build quality and Sense skin. What I didn't like about the M7 was the horrible camera, which took blurry and purple tinged photos. Whatever I did always resulted in crummy blurry camera shots. And from what I've read, the subsequent M8 and M9 had similar poor cameras. I'm currently considering upgrading from my S6 to the S7, but now that the M10 is close to being officially announced in a few eeeks I'll probably wait and check one out. I suggest you do the same if you can, but if you can't wait go for the S7.

I say wait. I picked up my S7 to replace my Droid Maxx and I haven't felt this great about a phone since, well, ever. I was initially going to wait for the HTC 10 but my fiance decided shed rather hold on to her M8 until she sees the 10 in person. If not for her, I'd be waiting myself. She came to Android from iOS and the M8 was her gateway phone. For a phone that's 2 years old, I think it still looks stunning. And since it'll be out soon, what's another month?

No doubt they make great phones, but the future of HTC is harder to predict. If they go under, or if another company buys them, we cannot be sure of timely updates to HTC 10.

the S7 should be a bit better the the HTC 10 IMO as the water Resistance is a major plus (though the decrease in sound quality may make the HTC more desirable)

Depending on your carrier, if you have T-Mobile, then get JUMP on Demand and get them both. Try the S7/E out until the HTC comes out or is released. If you like the announcement, great get it at a $0 upgrade.

Now if that's not an option, then wait until the HTC announcement if you have doubts. Otherwise go with the S7/E, like everyone said, it's a great phone and will have it's flaws, but no phone is perfect.

I went S7/E and plan on selling the S7 if I like the HTC enough to make that move, but a large part of me thinks it's just gonna be another HTC phone which isn't bad, but not exciting. It's just gonna be a damn good phone where as Samsung is a damn good phone with gimmicks like split screen, or heart rate scanners, etc.

It's a better value at the cost of some smoothness that HTC is well known for.
