Should I wait to get an Android Tablet

So I've been lurking and reading the tablet forum trying to figure out it it's time to get into the tablet game. I wanted to see whatever one else thinks.

I have about 500ish set aside for a tablet but I feel like everything out there right now is really just not that good.

The new Moto Everest that Rubin showed is really the first thing I have seen that I like but now i hear the rumor is that there won't be a WiFi only version. I'm not sure that's a bad thing assuming that I can get it at a decent price off-contract.

I'm slightly hesitant to go Motorola because I hate the fact they lock down their bootloaders like they do. I will root and go custom rom for sure with whatever I get.

So in short should I be waiting until a few more players get into this space with their offerings or is something like Viewsonics tablet good enough?

My plan is to really use this thing like a netbook, pretty much Internet only and Angry Birds...gotta have Angry Birds. I really want to go 10in.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I was looking forward to the Notion Ink Adam, but the new Motorola Tablet looks promising.

I am not sure which one I actually want; perhaps it is not time to lock down a choice. More is to come.

In my opinion the motorola is going to be the "flagship" android tablet. This will be the tablet that will really give the ipad and maybe even ipad 2 some real competition. We shall see...

Did some more research last night and I feel like waiting for Honeycomb is going to be my best bet. It was really built for tablets and I'm starting to get the impression that i'm not going to be happy with anything but that.
thanks for the suggestions.
I'm going to wait at least until CES and see what I have to work with.
