I've been using the touchwiz launcher but just decided to put on Google now which I used on my old phone. It looks horrible with the big touchwiz icons! Changed the touchwiz theme but it didn't change the icons on the Google now launcher. Should it? Looks like the only way to change them would be to use Nova with a theme?

Themes don't change icons on Nova... Except on the edge panel. I'm using icon packs though so not sure what would happen using the default icons on Nova.

The themes for TouchWiz do not actually change system icons. They just redirect and assign which icon to use for a specific app. Just like how Nova doesn't change the icons of the apps themselves. Third party launchers don't know to look for the TouchWiz themes and instead use the icons in the app installation folders.

OK thanks guys. I'd read about people using different launchers with themes to get a stock feel do I had assumed (wrongly!) that the theme would change the icons

Google Now Launcher doesn't work with icon packs but I managed OK with Icon Changer from the play store.

Download the icon pack you want to use and then use Icon Changer to modify them individually. It doesn't take long. I mainly used it to change the Touchwiz icons for stock icons. The dialer in particular.
