AC Question

Need to replace my iPhone 5 and am considering strongly going to Android, probably a Samsung 8 are people who left iPhone happy they did? What phones should I look at? I use my phone for everything!

I am looking at the S8 but am open. I use my fitness pal and fitbit apps etc and would hope they work well with android. I have a Samsung tablet and love it but it is dated and some of those apps run slowly due to old Android version. Just tired of apple's $$$$, battery issues and storage.

An Android usually has to be recharged more often than the equivalent i{hone being used the same way.

Other than that, it takes a little getting used to the differences (as you probably know from your Samsung).

Some people are glad they switched, some say they're switching back because they can't stand something about Android. So look at how the iPhone works, look at how the Samsung works (including your fitness apps - if you don't have any on it, go to the Play Store with it and install them) ... then you have to decide for yourself. The S8 will probably run a bit faster than an older tablet. (One thing to be careful of - the S8 is water-resistant, not waterproof. It can take being wet, but it usually can't take being plunged into water, or splashing around in even a few inches of water.)

It's strange that you should say that. My iPhone SE was not expensive, has outstandingly good battery life, and 128gb of storage....though of course I realise that you may be thinking of other aspects of Apple's $$$$, and of their limited free Cloud storage.

At the same time you can imagine some people saying that they're tired of this-or-that annoying aspect of the Android system, or of such-and-such a manufacturer's preloaded apps or UI, and are thinking of changing to iPhone because of it.

If you like the thought of Android's freedoms and customisability, give it a try, but bear in mind that some devices run pure or near-pure Android, and others not, if that matters to you.
