should you power down your note 2 to keep it running efficiently?

So I am coming from a droid x2, and am used to having to reset my phone every now and then to clear the ram, and keep the phone running smoothly. I know the note 2 has much more ram then the x2, but do you ever have to power the device down, or clear the ram on the note 2? To be precise here I haven't powered my device down since December 28th lol is this a bad thing? It is still running pretty smoothly. I also have tons of text messages as well should I be deleting them as well or does it not even matter?

since its an androids and android can be buggy until after you restart it
yes maybe once in a while

as for the text messages i dont think it matters

I've heard the phone clears it's own ram continually, this is why I asked.

I make great use of holding the Home button, closing opened apps and clearing ram.....But I still reboot a couple time a week just out of habit, cant hurt.....
