View from the mountains above santa Barbara (I can't remember if it was on auto or not, I don't think it was) and one just trying to capture the fire in low light mode. Didn't really catch the flame but I was super impressed with the detail on the coals

I'm new to the S9+ and I'm still setting it up before I make it my daily driver.
My question - what is the best camera setting for photos? The 4:3 aspect ratio or the 16:9?

For the highest quality use the 4:3 (12MP) setting.
Every other setting is basically a crop of that mode.
