How do you like 1 Vi compared to V?
I like it a lot better actually. HW is top and I prefer the new and better form factor. Don't mind the drop in screen resolution since it brings far better batterylife and also an increased brightness. The screen is by the way excellent. Pixel 8 Pro is a better point and shoot but Sony have better manual controls and its potential is great. Lovely colors and details from it. The speakers are superb and so is listen to music both wired and wirelessly.

Check Instagram, there are a few there who really impress. In the right hands it looks like images from a proper camera.

Some 4th of July fireworks. Didn't have the best vantage point site to the trees, but the image stabilization worked very well for being handheld several second long exposures. The one that looks swirled was me doing an intentional camera movement, rotating it in small circles during the exposure.

That's impressive for handheld. Great shots.

I know it's not a photo, but here's a 4k60 HDR video I shot last night on the 1V. There's a bit of jello effect that I think is due to the image stabilization, but otherwise the video from the 24mm f1.9 lens performed quite well. Audio was also impressive, given the circumstances. I have a high SPL dedicated mic, and even it has trouble when I'm this close to the action. Only some clipping at the end of each car's run in the final video, and I was able to edit out a bit of clipping elsewhere in the clip in Audacity. I then ran it through Da Vinci Resolve to combine the two clips and edited audio, applied some extra contrast and shadow boosting, and gave the audio some bass boost to fill out the sound (really nice if you have an audio system with good low end capabilities). Straight out of the phone, it looked and sounded pretty good, and these were just some minor edits to fine tune it.

That's a great video. I like the red car. That looks like a fun night at the track.

Another video. I'm enjoying shooting in 4k120 for the excellent slow-mo abilities as shown in this video (audio is from a dedicated mic), but I'm already getting some micro-scratches on the camera lenses. I also noticed the OEM Video Creator app was super saturating the colors when I used it to convert to a 30 fps slow motion video to then import into my PC editor for further work. The only change was supposed to be the playback speed, so not sure why it did this. If I import the original file into the PC editor. The colors were not near as bad. This was after I tried to correct them. Recommend listening on good headphones.

Nice video. I like the car with the little tanks on the back.
