Playing with the camera on the S21, it seems to switch back to the main camera when taking close-ups. Normally the telephoto pics have an fstop of f/2.0, but both of these are at f/1.8. This is similar to what frustrated me about the LG V40, where it wouldn't use the telephoto lens if there wasn't enough light, and would crop a main camera shot instead.

No, the regular S21. I am downsizing from the OnePlus 8. It's about the size of my old Nexus 5X. I really wanted the longer optical zoom of the Ultra, but not the size.

Gotcha. Yeah it usually occurs to me to try Gcam with every phone I get but I guess I've been so pleased with the Ultra it hasn't even occurred to me. Might give it a go at some point.

She's such a cutie.

I couldn't find anything close to nightsight or astrophotography mode in the Samsung camera app, so I figured I'd give it a try. It's got some issues still. Viewfinder freezes frequently, but switching lenses or viewing the last photo and going back seems to unfreeze it, until the next time LOL.
