Snapped this one today looking north on i70eb in Frisco, co. across from Dillon lake. Came out a little fuzzy though :(

Out looking for waterfalls with my youngest. 12 miles in the rain. Scotland at its best though. Cracking autumnal colours.20211009_125719-01.jpg20211009_125739-01.jpg20211009_125846-01.jpg20211009_112801-01.jpg20211009_121810-01.jpg

So, an old DSLR ND filter , 2 clothes pegs and some electrical tape gave me the below.

4 stops of ND and 2sec exposure on my S21U. My son had better results with his proper gear 20211009_120756-01.jpg

Saw a new neighborhood kitty yesterday. Snapped this from the window with 10x zoom. My 19 month old Simon knocked on the window and got the cats attention. It really worked out for the picture. Pretty cat, too. And young. Look at those paws.

What a CUTE BABY! And I LOVE the paws!

My wife and I spent last night in Oscoda, Michigan, on the shore of Lake Huron.
After sunset I walked out to the beach, and captured this on my S21. It is the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn over Lake Huron.
I sure wish I had a tripod with me.

I can only imagine this shot with the tripod! But still gorgeous.

You can usually lean your phone up against something and use the timer to simulate the stability of a tripod. I've even used one of my shoes when nothing else was available. Nice pic though.

Even the sand was lit up pink and orange. Cracking sunset even with the cloud cover. ( Out with my son playing with his DJI Osmo Gimble )20211019_181041-01.jpg

Now I want to go to Jupiter or Saturn. Need to book a flight. …oh wait.

We were eating ice cream at Cold Stone with friends on my birthday, and after a while I looked at the table and realized that it had a very 3-D look to it. The pic doesn't quite do the depth justice, but you can see it. A friend of mine used to work at a place that did this to stainless steel amongst other finishes.
