Diamond Head is a volcanic tuff cone on the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu and known to Hawaiians as Lēʻahi. The Hawaiian name is most likely derived from lae plus ʻahi because the shape of the ridgeline resembles the shape of a tuna's dorsal fin.

My BMW touring washed & detailed today

I may be selling it on Monday; so wanted to give it a good wash before a few days of storms hit us and then it'll be easier to clean before he comes to view it :)

The horizontal lines in the next two pics represent various lava flows over the last 4-5 million years. This area is nicknamed the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

I spent most of today at the Pearl Harbor War Memorial. Shuttle boats to the USS Arizona Memorial are temporarily closed due to repairs of the boarding dock but there are still a LOT of things to see and do.

The 16-inch main guns of the USS Missouri up close. There is a 16-inch shell and powder charge laying to the left. An armor piercing shell weighed 2,700 lbs and had a range of 21 miles.
