Shrinking space

When I bought my Galaxy Tab 4 7" 8GB SM-T230NU I had about 4.7 GB free space.After loading some pictures and videos (no more than 300 MB) my free space suddenly shrunk to less than 500 MB.Would you explain me please,what eats my space?

Really hard to tell without at least a picture of the available space report from your device. You'd have to check if the files you transferred aren't too big or if there are any apps that might have downloaded extra content (games, streaming services, even music apps).

I think that was my problem.In Aplication Manager I unistalled and turned off some app updates and recovered my space.
