Shure Headphone problem with volume

I am using jays headphone control with my Shure headphones and it works for skipping tracks but not for adjusting volume, any help or alternatives that will help

I have read several times before that only a few earphones/headphones can control the volume whereas others can't. Have you tried using PowerAMP from the PlayStore?
