Shutter silence

Does anyone know when JB comes to the S2, will the shutter be able to be silenced or not? I know about the laws and etc, but its still nice to have the option to silence WITHOUT rooting or downloading a app.

I doubt if JB will fix the shutter silence ?bug?. Because it isn't really a bug, it is Sprint policy. Also, silent camera shutters are not against the law.

The problem is that one of the uses for silent shutter is against law. Taking up skirt photos of unsuspecting women without their consent is (and should be) against the law.

I think Sprint made a bad call on this, punishing everyone for the crimes of a few perverts who belong in jail.

I for one like to take pictures of deer when I'm hunting and the shutter sound obviously makes it difficult. Agree with Tony that it's a shame everyone is punished for the acts of a few.

Oops, sorry--never mind. The app I recommended is horrible on our phones as it yields only a fraction of the resolution compared to the default camera. You'd think it would be the same, but no.

I'm running the GA10 JB leak and it does have the ability to silence the shutter. Not sure if that's how the official release will be.

I'm running GA10 too. How do you silence the shutter?

The Flicker app lets you take pictures without the shutter sound.

I noticed it did it when my phone is set to silent.
