One of the streaming app that i use does not support full screen on note 9 like Netflix , due to which any movies or shows that I stream have black bars on all four sides i.e. top, bottom and sides making it an unpleasant viewing experience.

Any solution for this issue will be appreciated.

Use two fingers and spread the screen out. For older shows they may not be optimized for wide screen. On those old ones if they start ot wise screen, you pinch your fingers in.

Had tried using the finger gesture too, but it does not work. The shows and movies are the latest ones.

I watch Netflix quite a bit. Not all shows are optimized so you get black bars on the sides. I've never seen black bars on all four sides though. That seems odd. If you do have black bars on the sides and expand as mentioned, you will lose some content. I don't normally do that for that reason. The black bars on the sides don't bother me. If they were on all sides it would though. I'm not sure why you have that. What are you watching? Maybe I can try it and see if I can help.

I am using hotstar (India) app. Every TV shows and movies including new ones just look bad because of the bars on all side
