Side Sync

Is it possible to get Side Sync on Pie? I was thinking of setting up Flow, except that the reviews on the Microsoft Store are rather scathing.

If not, are there any suggestions until Samsung gets around to fixing...everything...

Smart switch is for when you upgrade. Flow is for syncing with a PC and receiving notifications. It's the replacement that they are forcing on Pie. I believe that one review started by saying that the flow team needs to be fired.

It only let's you connect via Bluetooth anyway, so it's pretty useless for me until they get it to something that might be worthy of a beta.

SideSync allows you to mirror your phone on to a computer screen and use it with a mouse and Keyboard. It worked great on Oreo even though they said it wasn't compatible but alas, it's dead on Pie. I've tried a few other VNC clients but not work anywhere near as well as SideSync did. Back to using Messages for Web at least for Text Messages.

Flow works fine. It also works over WiFi, not just Bluetooth (although they added this only in a December update). Basically it's the same as SideSync now, with the only things I noticed missing is that the screen is not completely turned off when mirroring (it's superdark, but not off), and it doesn't work over USB connection. They say they'll fix that in an update. The bad reviews on Flow are pretty old, and well, it was pretty bad in the beginning but now it's almost feature parity as SideSync was.

I can't get mirroring between my Tab S3 and Note9 on Flow. The notifications work, but I liked the full screen phone functionality; the button on Flow just changes color but doesn't do anything.

I miss sidesync.
