Is there a way of loading .mobi books to my S III so Kindle can read them? I know I can email them down, but I've got loads....

Thanks

Alan

I did this by using Android transfer; I just dragged and dropped the files into the books folder on the phone. However, I do have a mac.

Hope this helps a little.

Once you have a connection to your computer you can just drag and drop them to the /kindle folder on your internal storage. Unlike my Kindle, however, it will not read books within folders (within the Kindle folder).

So put your books here: /kindle

Not here: /kindle/book name/

As far as connecting to your computer to transfer the files you can use the USB cable that came with it or you can create a wifi connection - though the former is probably easier.

Transfer is fine, I have ES File Explorer which can do SMB connections to my PC.

Thanks for the advice about subdirectories - I didn't know that (how primitive!!)

Yeah it was a pain - I have all my books on my Kindle (and on my BlackBerry) organized into sub folders by author/series. Had to take them all out of the folders for the Android version...and I did it through ES File Explorer since I was out on the boat at the time!

I have no clue why it would be this way but...yeah.
