Sign-in error for xxxx@mail.com...... Touch to sign in to your account for a deleted account

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy TAB 3 LITE 7.0 where I have my primary google account which works fine. But at one time my son signed on my Tab with his google account to check for his emails but I later removed the account. I now get the above sign-in error message every 5 secs in the notification area even if I clear the message. If there is anyone who can kindly help t resolve this issue I would really appreciate. Thanking you in advance.

Please note that when I tap to sign in to that account using the correct password nothing happens and the error message reappears.

You could try a Cache Partition wipe.

There's a difference between the Google account an an account in an email app, even if they're the same address. Check that both of them aren't there.
