Signal booster?

I have signal issues while on the beach. Both call and data. When I am there 2 other people next to me have no problems. They have iPhones and I have a G3. So I ran into several apps that seemed to be solutions for this issue, but I wonder if they really work?

No app can boost the signal. It's simply impossible and apps claiming to boost signals are strictly bogus.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.
