I have been using a moto x 1st ed for about two years. I was using it in the USA on Sprint without any trouble. I had it unlocked and brought it to South Korea where I used it for 6 months without any issues. However, I lost my phone recently so I repurchased the same phone Moto X 1st edition unlocked but the AT&T edition.

I immediately noticed the signal is terrible on this phone. It drops constantly. I am using the same network provider from before I lost my phone, and what I thought would be the same version of the phone. I noticed the settings section for mobile networks is much different on the AT&T version compared to the Sprint, and I cannot change the signal at will. I can make calls and receive texts, its just that the signal is absolutely unstable

Does anyone know what the cause of this problem could be and how to fix it. I repurchased this phone specifically because I like it so much and I never had ANY problems until now. ):

Sprint and AT&T use different technologies in the US. The new phone you bought has different radios in it causing the poor signal.

No. There are different models for different carriers. My Verizon one is an xt1060, I think the ATT one you have would be a xt1053.
