Trying to decide which phone to get (Z3 , Turbo or G3) and the most important factor is the two performance and stability in poor signal areas. I couldn't be happier with my Moto but my wife 's Note 3 just can't stay connected, so we need a new phone (after second replacement failing).

I live in a fringe area. Stopped using an iPhone 5 because of dropped calls. The best phones I have had are Note 4 and G3 (the note is slightly better then G3). The acceptable phones Droid Maxx, Galaxy S5 (the Maxx is better then the S5). The very worst phone is the Droid Turbo 64GB. I still have all mentioned phones. I hope the Turbo improves with updates. The only Acceptable carrier in my area of Buckingham VA USA is Verizon.
YMMV because of your carrier or area. Hope this helps!!

Wow , I was amazed with the power of Moto X '14 radios !!
Checked them all at the verizon store and all of them were at 100 dB + while X was getting 72-75 dB.

I too had to give up on the note 3 due to a constantly poor signal, haven't had any problems at all with the G3

I'm on my second G3. Both have been terrible in the signal department compared to my GS4 and my wife's GS5.

I should mention that I am on ATT though

Was that store in a low-signal area?

Not really. The store was on the first floor (entrance off the street) and the area is West Hollywood.

I accidentally erased Droid Turbo pic thinking it was an extra of droid maxx. However, it was over 100dB

Huh, that's interesting. I'd be cool if someone made a thread somewhere and users all went to local corporate carrier stores and looked at and took pictures of this. I'd be interesting for sure.

So this doesn't really answer your original question about how well it performs in low signal areas then?

No, it doesn't. But, it certainly leaves room for the assumption that it might be a winner there too.

I have the G3 on Verizon. I have only had it for 11 days now but the signal strength is stronger and much more stable than the HTC Droid DNA that it has replaced. The DNA's signal constantly fluctuated. The G3 is a steady stronger signal. I live in a good coverage area though. I liked the DNA. I love this G3.

I just switched from US Cellular (GS3) to Verizon (LG G3) and and my signal strength is great. Much better than before. I work in the mountains and my GS3 rarely had service. Now with Verizon my LG gets bars everywhere and I can get out with only one bar 3g or 4g without dropped call.

I live in the pacific northwest, Verizon's coverage area is much better than US.
