Silent night app

Shouldn't matter, the app is still on the Verizon phone, just not the shortcut.

Looks like you have to follow the instructions to the letter. When you create the shortcut, you just open the same app we all have. The downloaded app for the shortcut is only creating a shortcut not an app.

Unfortunately it does matter. Just check out the number of posts on this.

Just saw this if you use a launcher.

Just buy some nfc tags and set up a bedtime one that silences whatever you want silenced.

NFC tags work great. If you prefer not to do that, Locale will also work, as well as do many other things too.

That does not work. Tried that months ago using quick shortcut maker.

Guess if that doesn't work, you can use one of the smart action type apps. I use "automateit" but there are a number of them out there.

Using AutomateIt as well. Has a rule called "Quiet at night when screen is off". Triggers at 2200 and ends at 0600. Those hours can be adjusted. If screen is reactivated during the timeframe, then rule is delayed for 15 minutes, then resumes. Or time based triggers can be setup to manage volume.
