SILENT ringtone now after Oreo

My phone keeps reverting to silent. I have timerrific and thought that might be the issue. I've been watching it, and that doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm using a ringtone that I created on ringdroid and thought that might be the issue do I imported the ringtone the old fashioned way. Still went silent.

Thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this? TIA.

Looks like the imported -Ringtone- isn't recognized by the
setting "Sound & vibrate" after update to Oreo..Remove it
and imported again if still silent, you may give up
use-1 from the list instead - Hope this help

Actually I checked it after my ring app did it's thing. That's what's been forcing my phone to silent. I Uninstalled and reinstalled ring.

Is the ring app you uninstalled the doorbell app Ring?

Thank you for posting this solution. I uninstalled /reinstalled my ring doorbell app and my android auto app. The issue is fixed.

I am having the same problem since my RING app was upgraded. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the RING app? Will doing that cause me to have to set up my video doorbell again?
