I can can understand why Apple and Google but why is Samsung avoiding Silicon Carbon on it's flagship phones like the Edge and the upcoming S26 Ultra?

Gemini says Samsung is cautious and playing it safe since the Note 7 fiasco. It's been 10 years.

Are they playing it too safe or just avoiding giving what we constantly have been asking for, longer battery life.

Gemini keeps referring to the disadvantages and risk why companies like Apple and Samsung are avoiding it but has there been any news, reports on Silicon Carbon?

One reason why is, longevity. Samsung feels it cannot support its 7 years of software updates.

Even if people do keep their phones for that long. Do lithium batteries even last that long?

I don't understand Samsung's point. Excuses.

I think they are taking it slow with that technology, they must see something to not fully commit like battery longevity.

so you're cool with Apple and Google avoiding the tech, but not Samsung?

Google. I have no faith on. Apple. This is the company that years before they made 128GB a standard, had the "courage" to remove the 3.5mm Headphone Jack, said we don't need Chargers.

I'm not expecting anything from this company.

They act as if they're phones are not having battery issues. Majority took advantage of this year's Black Friday because of it.

How many year has Oppo, Huawei, Xiaomi have been using Silicon Carbon?

I just feel like we're behind or worst being limited.
