Sim Card causing problem in samsung galaxy gt-i9082

hi,
i have inserted new sim card and it causing problem in device. i cannot use settings. when i hit settings, it comes flashes and go away.
what happened?
wifi is also continuously on. i cant turn it off.
please help me with this..

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry for the delay. Is the phone brand new? Did you get it from a reputable store, or by a discount seller on the internet? Counterfeit phones are always something to consider.

Is the SIM card from a major wireless provider, or did you buy it at some newsstand or kiosk? If it's from a major provider, I'd talk to them and see if they can give you a replacement SIM.
