Android Central Question

I have a smartwatch which I paired with my android phone. I buy a sim card because 1/2 the features on the watch won't work without one. When I activate the sim card, the watch will have a new number. Will i still be able to pair it with me phone? I don't want to port my cell over to the watch sim. That seems ify.

Welcome to Android Central! Which smartwatch? I'm assuming it's one of those cheap no-name Chinese watches -- in a way, all bets are off with those devices, since quality control and support are typically minimal. I'd guess that it'd still be able to pair with the phone to show notifications, but just have the added ability to make calls and access data directly with the watch.

you should still be able to pair.

The secondary phone number assigned to the watch is so the watch can receive phone calls without having the phone nearby or if you dont feel carrying the phone.
