SIM card removed message

I get the following message 5 to 10 times a week

"SIM card removed
The mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid SIM card inserted"
I hadn't removed the SIM. If I turn the phone off and on again it works. I have subsequently removed, checked and replaced it several times. Problem continues

What can I do?
 
Gently clean the gold contacts with some ispropyl alcohol (NOT water!!) wipes, polish with soft tissue and try again. The little wipes nurses use to give injections are good, or some glasses cleaners, methylated spirits... Don't touch the contacts with your fingers...

Thanks Tim, I've tried that but it is still doing the same thing.
Is this a common problem for S4s?
