SIM cards not recognized after water incident

Hi

After a little swimming in the pool and drying it under the sun all day everything works except sim cards. Can someone who had the same problem advise me on what can I do to try to fix it please? Thanks

1. Try a different SIM
2. Let the phone dry longer. Common wisdom is to stick it in a sealed container with dry (uncooked) rice and leave it for a couple of days, with the battery removed.

Thanks but I already tried a dif sim and left it two days under a strong sun (I kive in Portugal).

Then I'm afraid your phone is toast. Water and electronics don't go well together.

I just ordered a SIM/SD Card Reader replacement for the S3 on Amazon for 5 pounds. It?s pretty easy to replace it, I hope it works

Thanks m8. Will try to post when its done. If it does work next step Will be fix the glass, i broke it 2 weeks ago.

Try cleaning the contacts. Maybe the water caused some oxidation and is keeping it from making good contact.

Thanks for the tip but Already did that, following a youtube tutorial. But I cant see any oxidation...
