SIM Tray Question

Hi all,

When I open the SIM Tray on my phone there is a white piece of plastic that is rather loose(it can move up and down and back and forth a bit). It interferes slightly with putting the SIM tray in, I just have to be a bit careful to slide the tray in under the plastic piece when pushing the tray back in to the phone. I thought about just trying to pull the plastic out and discarding it but figured I better check here first. There seems to be some tabs on the plastic on edge furthest in the phone that will make it a bit difficult to pull out though. Does anyone know what this is? Is it a manufacturing thing that got left in by mistake? Do others have this? Or is it a piece that is usually there and just became loose on my phone?

Thanks, John

I have it as well. That white piece acts as a spring and holds the Sim down and in place on the tray. Definitely don't remove it. The Sim and tray slide underneath it.

Ok, thank you for your response. Does yours move around? I've just never experienced this on another phone. It does not seem to be a real problem I just have to be aware when I put the tray back in

Can I discard it? It's a minor nuisance

Do whatever floats your boat. But deal with whatever circumstances that may arrive. I don't understand how something you'll never bother with is a nuisance.

Ah, lots of things float my boat. I have 3 phones and like to switch the SIM around often
