Sim unlock t mobile zte device?

I'm aware that T Mobile uses their custom unlock app to sim unlock eligible devices and not an 8 or 16 digit code.

I'd like to get this spare phone unlocked so that I can use it on another network. It's a zte zmax pro z981 . Cellunlocker website quoted me $50 , which I think is not worth doing for on a $75 phone. Do I have any other options?

I no longer subscribe with T Mobile else I would have contacted them first. Cheers.
