Simple, clean weather/clock widgets but with hot spots

I really like stock clock/weather widget. Nice and simple and clean. But I also like being able to select my own weather app that launches and it's nice to have a few other programmable hot spots to launch much used favorite apps. That way I can leave my front page uncluttered. Sure, the new Edge panel pop out is useful but it's still an extra swipe. I used to use Nova so had all the gesture launches but since cutting way back down to just two pages I've stuck with TouchWiz. So, is anyone out there using a clock/weather widget app that offers a simple clock/weather widget like this but has some better programmability? I found one in the weather app 1Weather is not bad but not perfect. I used to use HD Widgets but very dense and complex appears. I want to SEE ALL of that beautiful Note 8 screen!!

Is that Beautiful Widgets? I moved my widget off of my home screen for a screenshot since it's kinda cluttered at the moment. But anyhow, I love how customizable it is, and it does let me choose my own weather app.

Second screenshot shows the options I chose. But it pretty much lets you choose any app.

You can use Zooper Widgets. It has a Note 8 widget pack that looks exactly like the Note 8 stock widgets but with hotspots. You need the paid version of Zooper to use widget packs though.

Actually, I used to be a Nova Prime user. When I went to the N8 I decided to see if I could get by with as many stock apps as possible including the stock launcher, Touchwiz. It worked fine but of course you lose the gestures and some other pretty important things. I have another thread going about that gap at the top that was bugging me. So just went back to Nova and spent a couple hours getting it all set up the way I like it. Good to be home. Now that I have much more configurability I went with a basic naked HD Widget with three hotspots which is more than enough now that I have all my gestures back. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Does any weather app have a notification icon (typically temperature in a circle) that updates refreshes frequently specifically on the AOD screeen. (seems most are static, so can be the afternoon and show the morn temp if you haven't used phone; even if widget etc is set to update frequently, seems does not apply to AOD notification icon).

I have the 1Weather app (already on phone) and it updates thru out the day on my AOD. If you don't have a lock screen no notifications will show on the AOD. I added a lock screen in order to get the notifications.

I use 1Weather as well as of late (also use Weatherbug Elite) and on 1Weather you can set how often you want the notifications to auto refresh from never, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1, hour and up to 12 hours. I went with 30 minutes.
