Since the last software update oreo9 on my s8+ widgets will not work on my home page

[Android Central Question]

I'm using next launcher and none of my widgets work they won't update. Is it the launcher I'm so disappointed everything was working until the software update
Any suggestions please !!

Welcome to Android Central! It's probably a Next Launcher issue -- send them feedback about this. If you go back to the Samsung Experience launcher, do the widgets still work there?

A lot of Samsung specific widgets would only work on Samsung's stock launcher. It's possible Next launcher found a way around it, and Samsung may have closed that loophole.
