Yes. Is there some other source of info that indicates that ICS is not going to happen for the DINC2? I also keep seeing the end of August for a release date

There's an article going around saying that it is now "uncertain" if it's going to happen.

My interpretation is that the author of the article is an idiot. The release date for the DINC 2 is listed as "undetermined" (I think that is how it was listed) and the author of the article has taken it to mean that it's undetermined if the DINC 2 will get ICS or not. That is NOT what the "official" list says. It merely says that the release date is not yet set.

I emailed VZ support to ask. Here is what I got. (VZW's email fluff left in because the fluff is so fluffing ridiculous.)

Oliver, I see that there is an update coming to the phone. Htc will automatically update your phone. HTC sends out update to each phone. Some phones get the update later than other phones. So we are not sure when it will come to your specific phone. I do apologize. But you will get the update. IF you have any questions please feel free to call us at 800-922-0204

To which I replied:

Thank-you for your reply. Can you please tell me if the "Droid
Incredible 2" will be Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich? You mention an
update but you don't tell me what it is. I would like to know if the
Incredible 2 will get Android 4.0.

And they fluffed back:

Thank you for your inquiry. We have been receiving such the overwhelming responses to the release of the Ice Cream Sandwich software version for Android phones. We are unable to determine beyond a shadow of a doubt whether it will be released for the Incredible 2, however I can advise you that it is in fact expected to be released for this model. When and if this does happen will be determined by the manufacturers of the device; in this case HTC. You are more than welcome to check with them for any updates by calling 1-866-449-8358. Hopefully they will have information to share regarding this update.

There you go: confusing, non-committal, bad-English run-around by VZ.

I tweeted at HTCUSA to ask them and they just plainly ignored me. I almost prefer that.
