yeah. I ran into the same problem. Sucks.

I was hoping for a reminder app that I can talk to instead of having to manually enter stuff.

Hey guys, Google will be launching their own vocal assistant called... ''Assistant'' by the fourth quarter of the year! Right now pretty much all of the apps like Siri in the Play Store are bad.

I hate to say it. But, if it is being released in the 4th quarter, I'd wager to bet that it will be a part of Jelly Bean and will be included in the next generation of Nexus phones.
Just because it may come with JB doesn't mean it can't be added as an app to ICS. Android is different than Apple (in a good way). I have an iMac that had Snow Leopard, which has the App Store. So I could download Lion (new OS) for $30. But my Macbook has Leopard (which doesn't have the App Store), so I had to buy Snow Leopard (for $30) to get the App Store, then I could dl a free copy of Lion to it. What a mess. I bet with the GN we're OK.I hate to say it. Other than basically a gimmick to me, does anyone knew anyone who really users siri after a couple weeks? Two guys at work with their new iPhone were originally showing me how "cool" siri was initially. Asked them both if they still use siri and both just said they don't. One said that problems with network failure was one epic fail. The other said getting wrong info/ response to often and as easier to do most things manually. I think it's interesting but I also found speech input on pc interesting 20 years ago and its still relatively useless today

Ya my wife doesn't use Siri much, but she does use it. I think it's more useful while driving a car, and most people leave their phone alone driving (I do, I rarely use BT and it's built into my Mini).Other than basically a gimmick to me, does anyone knew anyone who really users siri after a couple weeks?
