Size and Weight

OK. Why are all of the fold reviews taking about how big and heavy this phone is? It feels the same weight as my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and my Pro Max is bigger.

Reviewers probably talk about it being big and heavy because it's big and heavy... saying anything else would be disingenuous, which isn't a good look for a reviewer.

Ta not a huge difference. I use both and don't notice anything. They both are bulky, just depends on what bulk you want.

Not a huge difference in what? I didn't make a comparrison.
Most flagship phones, but generally the note series, now the S22 ultra. It doesn't really matter, the size thing has been discussed at length in other posts.

I just Agree with OP, people make a bigger issue on size and weight then it really is.

Well... it's 37g heavier than my S21 Ultra, and I switched to a Flip 4 because it was too big and heavy... so it is an issue for people

My point is just that it IS a heavy and bulky phone, and if a reviewer didn't point that out, they wouldn't be doing their job. There's nothing wrong with a big bulky phone, as long as the person buying it knows that's what they're getting.

I'm comparing it to my Pro Max, which are the reviews I'm talking about.

According to the Google machine it's 24g heavier than the 13 Pro Max, which is not insignifficant.

But comparing one heavy thing to another heavy thing does not really prove much...

I get where you're coming from... I wear (and sleep in) a Watch 5 Pro, I also have a Titanium band on it which brings it's weight up to 100g. I've seen several reviews saying the watch is too heavy, even with a silicone band... which I obviously don't agree with. But the fact that I don't mind how heavy it is doesn't mean they are wrong, it IS heavy for a smartwatch.

I have both S22U and fold 4, they both have bulk. As far as grams, it doesn't really matter. We aren't talking pounds or ounces.

We can simplify this, it's a personal feeling. There is no right or wrong. I just try to state it's not a huge difference is all

Agree. It a personal preference. After 24 hours with the fold, it feels smaller to me than my 13 Pro Max.

I always tell people that it's big and heavy for a phone, and small and light for a tablet... which are 100% true statements.

Whether or not individuals consider it to be too heavy, inconvenient, or whatnot is strictly personal.

Having an LTE Watch 5 Pro, I never carry my phone around because I find that I have to keep hitching up my pants, (wearing a belt tight enough to prevent that downward slide is uncomfortable).

I'll bring it in the car for Android Auto, then leave it in a locked glove box... unless going into a doctor's office where I know, here in Florida, I'll be waiting 35 years in the waiting room, (50 during Snow Turd season), to get called into an exam room, lol.

I primarily use it as a tablet when home because I prefer small form factor tablets, and nobody makes small flagship tablets anymore.

If Samsung made a 7" to about an 8.5" flagship tablet, I'd have gone with the Flip rather than Fold.

Different strokes for different folks.

YouTube reviewers: "The Z Fold 4 is an awesome phone but I'm going to continue to use my iPhone". I don't even know why YouTube phone reviewers should ever be listened to anymore. MKBHD, Super Saf, and iJustine are just about the worst. The only one who is worth a damn is Flossy Carter.

You're absolutely right. The Z Fold 4 feels lighter than my iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Fold 4 still my favorite device to date over all my devices well was the fold 3 until i upgraded to Fold 4 lol the compactness is really good.

I have a S22U and switch to that here and there. I make it a day, maybe 2 days before I'm back to the fold 4. I just enjoy the fold 4 so much. The S22U is more of a back up phone then anything. I want something I wouldn't mind using if I have to be without the fold 4 for some reason such as insurance claim, repair.
