size of contact photos when incoming calls

Is there any way to keep the original size of the contact picture that is added in People?

When you have an incoming call from a contact that has a picture, it's cropped from let's say 4 x 4 to 4 x 2. When he calls the picture looks bad, cropped, usually without his beard or hear... Goggled for 2 days for solution but nothing still.. Very big part of the screen is unused due to the ringing phone image and all that black around it.. Don't know if this is LG issue or Android but is really bad.

Have you tired a different dialer app? There is a free one called DW Contacts & Phone & Dialer (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...cts.free&feature=search_result&token=Ef8WRfQr.) that I think may let you adjust the incoming call screen. I think it might be under settings>global settings>contact picture zoom mode> then try the different options. There is a paid version of this dialer as well, but I don't think you need it to play with this and see if it works.

There was at one time an issue with contact photos syncing from Google at a lower quality.
This was fixed some time back and I was able to resolve issues with the contact pictures on my phone by re-uploading photos into Gmail contacts.
Might be worth trying this with one of your contacts and seeing if it helps.
