Aww yeah, just applied the dark wood skin from Skinomi to my Slate. Apart from the looks, I also like how it improves the grip (the metal back is quite slippery), and it's also nicer to look at than all of the fingerprints that accumulate!

Very nice. I have looked at these. I am curious how well it is holding up, and how durable do you think it is?

I got a Skinomi skin for a previous Chromebook as well -- the large pieces hold up very well. The smaller pieces for the edges are more prone to peeling off (so I didn't bother with those on the Slate). The material feels pretty solid, so it'll definitely protect against scratches (and, as I mentioned, also improves the grip).

Scratches are definitely what I'm concerned about. That, and hiding the fingerprints. I would certainly enjoy the added grip as this particular combo is a lot heavier than I expected it to be. It's actually refreshing when everyone is focusing on thin and light to actually have a "premium" product feel that way. Looks like I'll be ordering a Skinomi in the very near future. Thanks!
