Skype and City ID won't uninstall?

How do i un install these? tradtional manage apps doesn't work...says unsuccessful....

I think they are ingrained in the phone. Once we get root, it should be possible.

I don't think they are actually apps. If VZ sets up the same as on the BB, then these are merely shortcuts to the actual installs of those applications. At least on the BB you could select Hide and make them disappear.

Both of those programs are the complete program. They cannot be deleted from the phone through normal means as they are a part of the Droid X ROM. We will be stuck with them until the Droid X gets rooted and other ROMs are made that omit these programs.

Other ROMs probably wont be possible, but with root access these will be easily removed.
