Skype video on xoom

There is currently no Skype for video app that works with the Xoom as far as I'm aware of. The one released for the Thunderbolt only seems to work for the Thunderbolt.

The app called Tango works well too. It is great for cross platform video chat

Can you setup Tango to communicate with Skype contacts? As if you were in Skype? Transparent to Skype users that have your Skype name?

Unfortunately they are separate accounts. You can try to use the same username, but if you logged into Skype they will not see you on Tango.

Seems that Skype pushed an update through last night. Can anyone confirm if Skype video chatting now works for the Xoom?

Supposedly it should work on the XOOM now, but I still can't get it to .. I get:

"You cannot be signed in at this time. Please try again later" ..

I now can log in, but there is no "setting" in the app to enable video calls that I see.

Edit: Just notice this from the blog: "Unfortunately, if you cannot see the video calling settings, it means your Android phone does not meet the minimum requirements needed to make Skype video calls. " Oh well, no skype for the XOOM yet .. Man oh man ,..

Ugh, the galaxy tab got support. They show you a list of the newly supported devices. Looks like it's by manufacturers; Samsung, HTC and Sony, mainly.

Nope its not but if u look it up in the app catalog u can see what devices it works for xoom is not listed for video

Good question! I would also like to know if other Tablets can :
- play avi, wmv, & mkv movies
- read and write to SD card

Are these issues OS or MOT?

They say that you can enable it if you are running 2.2 or later. However, I can't seem to get it to work on my 10.1. Guess honeycomb isn't included in this.
