Skyraider 4.0 Available Now

But since I've installed 4.0 when ever I turn off my phone (or when it crashes for no reason) It changes all my scene stuff back to stock and erases my contacts.

How often does your phone "crash?"

I've run SR4.0 for long stretches at a time (two weeks on the same ROM is a long time for me) and I've only have 2 random reboots...both times I was in very weak signal areas and trying to use the camera.

I've never had any problems just turning it off and back on again. Have you tried the "repair permissions"

Its done it to or three times all when trying to update apps and be on web and txt at the same. I have not tried the repair option.

You can run Fix Permissions either from ROM Manager or in Clockwork Recovery. Either should work.

I was using the CM7 nightlies but I flashed this ROM last night cuz I was kinda missing having Sense and so far so good!

How do you mean mess up? It would reset the entire phone and all current settings would be lost.

The phone can no longer send or receive MMS messages, it just gives a generic network failure and keeps trying to resend.

just wipe everything man and start with a fresh install of the rom. sounds more like just a random error, or an app u installed causes problems, i would just go back to flashing a new copy of skyraider, i ran skyraider for over a month straightand it never game me a prob, only hting i didnt like is the 720p was wonky and the lighting was jacked when recording, back to cm7 for now. but once that uberkindowm rom or what ever gets going! yes im there

I actually am letting a family member borrow the phone at the moment and she is the one who pointed it out...might be a while before I can get it again to try this fix. Thanks for the help though!

I wonder what the man has in store for SR 4.1? He has hinted in a couple posts it's coming soon. And is asking for other dev's about their themes, guess we'll see

version 4.2 change log notes are up in the XDA post on the first page, but the ROM hasn't been released yet.

Update: 4.2 has been released for what it's worth. It's the last update for the Skyraider ROM on the Inc. The author is moving on to the Thunderbolt. Still one of my favorite ROMs

I haven't had any issues with it. Are you running version 4.2? Did you do a clean flash of the ROM (full data wipe, cache and dalvik wipe)

I had to check out Skyraider 4.2 also . Another update is coming soon (Skyraider 4.3) . It's cool this Rom is still being supported

I dont use Rom Manager .
I dont know why they left xda either ,lol .

I flashed clean from CM7 also last night been using pop-mail will see if gmail works for me now too.

Edit :yup it works for me although I just use pop email and have gmail turned off most of the time .

I'm leaving xda because I don't agree with things that go on at this site any longer. Since it's obviously beyond my control to change xda, I'm changing forums. Yes, where I'm going is relatively small and new, but they are growing. However, that shouldn't really matter.

If you plan to stop using my Rom(s) due to this decision, that's up to you. However, I hope most of you will follow me wherever I may go. Except to the grocery store. That would be creepy.

To me, like he said, it doesn't really matter. I think it's great that he is still supporting this ROM.
