Slashdot front page: Epic 3G limit

Good. I took back my evo, paid a 35 dollar restocking fee because i wanted this phone and my upload speeds are capped?

bullocks.

In my room, at home, I get 1 bar of 4G and my download is 1.3mbps and the upload is 500kbps. I live in DC, and where ever I go there's 4G.

That 4G upload is slower than a two year old windows mobile 3G Only phone on SERO and not much faster down. Also I was in DC two days ago. you can't get 4G inside of most buildings and Not in any of the Senate or House office buildings, not in most of the hotels and conference rooms. 4g is a nice thing but users of it know it has poor building penetration. When I get one bar of 4G its speeds are slower than normal 3g.

And the premium $$10 is not for 4G but for supposed better data service on 3g as well.
I talked with Sprint about this late last week, and they're looking into it.
Phil, why did this not come up on your review? We can understand you (and the Sprint testers) missing the larger GPS bug due to the fact that phone reseting masking it and it taking up to 36 hours to occur, but the how was 3G data speed missed?

Sprint may have waited until the actual launch of the Epic to cap it's 3G upload speed to 150kbs so the reviewers would have seen normal speeds.
