slcd display issue

my Dinc1 got wet and the display stopped working. everything else works, calls, texts, etc. I hooked it to my tv with the HTC cables and can view everything there just fine. i am wondering if the display and video-out signals are fed from the same internal component. if so i can replace the display for about $70 and have it for a spare. i used an upgrade to replace it with Dinc2. anyone have any knowledge of the hardare configuration in these things?
