Does the gear s2 offer sleep tracking like the fitbit charge? Early reviews say that it doesn't, or that it isn't worth having. Have there been any updates that allow this?
Two options for sleep tracking so far: 1) a simple app called G'Night that does sleep tracking but does not sync with anything (yet) so the data stays in the watch. 2) a watch app that syncs with "Sleep as Android" on your phone; a much more elaborate app -- many options, tracks heart rate -- that also syncs with S-Health. Works, but is a bit of a battery hog, and still seems beta-ish.
I use Sleep as Android. It works with the s2 and sync with s health but it certainly does use alot of battery! I hope the developers work on the battery issue. If they do it will be a great app.
After you start tracking your sleep using Sleep as Android, I'm prompted to sAve power with a simple setting with is like airplane mode. It works well.
