Slide aside and other cool multi-taking features

So this is new to me, I don't know about others but I havent ever heard of this. It is pretty damn cool IMO, esp. the quick messaging pop-up.I hope AT&T doesnt gimp the q-slide apps like they did with the OGPro

to be honest, I don't understand the point of slide aside... isn't it the exact same thing as multitasking button, but only 3 apps? I don't get it lol

So when you press the home button on a G2 does it close the app or is it still open in memory somewhere?
