SlideLock App Not Accessing Pattern Lock

Hey everyone, I just switched back to Android from a iPhone 5 and installed SlideLock to change my lock screen. I absolutely love the app and the notifications on my lock screen, however, I'm having an issue with the app not accessing the pattern unlock screen. I've set it both in settings and via SlideLock, but for some reason, but it just won't activate the pattern unlock when I access the phone.

Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix? Thx.

I'm having this problem also on my sony xperia z1 compact, not sure how to fix it tho...sorry but thought it would be useful to know it's not just an HTC prob
OK so umm nevermind, I just realised that it was because I had my "automatically lock screen timeout" setting (under security) set to 30mins because I'd recently been transferring data from phone to PC LOL (and as soon as the screen locks, the pc ceases to be able to see the contents of the phone). Check this setting, fixed it for me
