slight delay when turning on

I'm coming from an S3...which has zero delay when hitting the power button. Screen turns on instantly. But with the gn2 I notice there is small delay once you hit the power button til when the screen comes on. I have noticed this in video reviews of the phone too.
I'm wondering if it is caused by a setting or just the way it works? I disabled s-voice thinking that might be related...but delay remains.
Anyone else notice this?

Mine does the samething, doubt it is a setting. Mostly likely how they designed it to be.

Mine does it as well. Driving me nuts. My only real complaint so far.

Mine too, it turns off instantly but turning on has a slight delay. I don't really notice it though, so it doesn't really bother me.

The delay is a good thing, folks. It means our Notes are sleeping properly. If it was instant all the time it would be a sign that the Note never goes to sleep.
