Anyone know where to adjust the slot cycle index on the Epic 4g?

I've had a few calls that never rang on my phone. Id like to drop the SCI from 2 to 1, but dont know where to change it.

I've got the MSL for my phone, and tried ##DATA#, Advanced.........but its not in there like most phones.

You can't anymore :/ I think its all controlled at the tower now, from what I've read

That doesnt make sense why they would put it on the EVO then. I've verified on my buddy's that his has a place to change the SCI. (Its defaulted at 2)

(the EVO is under ##DATA# -> Advance -> SCI)

I managed to change the SCI from 2 to 1. It has made a HUGE difference in how fast my phone rings.

I went all day today and noticed almost no difference in the battery.

For those who are curious, you have to download QPST and make the change via USB programming. It was very easy to do.

Download Here:

QPST Build 355

I referenced a thread over at XDA for some info:

Your MSL code is REQUIRED, I simply called sprint and asked for it.

Assuming you have your MSL...
-Requirements
*Download and install Qpst. 2.7 build 355
*Download and install normal Epic 4g drivers.

-Plug in your phone to your computer and when prompted to choose between "Charging, mass storage, or tethered modem", choose "Tethered modem", then choose "3g modem".

-Open up QPST > Service programming. Select your phone in the "Select an active phone" box and click on "Read from phone" and enter your MSL when prompted.

-You will see the Slot Cycle Index is at 2. Change it to 1 and click "Write to Phone". Then reboot phone.

-Your Slot Cycle Index is now changed to 1. You can verify after rebooting the phone by launching Service Programming and clicking "Read From Phone" again.
