Slow data speeds

I'm getting pretty fed up with Verizon. In OKC, my speeds have gone to complete crap - like 1M down if I'm lucky. Verizon has been completely useless in solving it, just wanting to blame my phone, environment, etc. They actually said that because I work in an office building, I shouldn't expect fast speeds due to a high amount of users.
Now I'm in Nashville, and my two speed tests here (within a mile of the airport) were 0.10Mbps down, 0.01 up with a 182 ping, and then 0.59 down, 0.00 up, 234 ping.

This has been true on my G4 as well as my new S7 edge.

It's apparent to me that Verizon is running out of capacity, but I'm not sure why it has gotten so bad so suddenly. I'm also at my wits end dealing with it as I cant even stream music anymore. Aside from switching carriers or WiFi (which I can't use at work) - any ideas here on how to address it or get them to admit they have a problem?

If Tmobile covered a key area that I spend alot of time in, I would have already switched to them. But, I need coverage in this area, and it's AT&T or Verizon there, and I just can't make myself do business with the death star.

Perhaps they are switching over to the new networks so it might be a temporary thing? When T-Mobile switched over in my area, I had the same issue for a couple of weeks but then now I get some signal even at my Faraday cage of a desk!

What new networks? And signal strength is fine, it's just the data connectivity speeds that are impacted.

I would request a new sim as a starter

The SIM is new - I just got the S7E a few weeks back. The old SIM in the G4 had the same problem.

How long has it been this slow? Are you in safety mode maybe?

Off and on, and in different locations, 3+ months over 2 different phones/SIM cards. Today at another location, it was 64.9 down, 27.2 up - more than acceptable.

The issue is there are particular areas where the service is almost unusable - locations that have been fine in the past.

I had the same issue, signal would be fine for talk and text but data would be non existent. Once upgrade was complete, I started getting really high data speeds and cell reception where before signal was poor and data speeds were non-existent.
Sorry for the troubles you are having. Might want to tweet T-Mobile and see if they have some help for you. Also does someone else have TMO service and seem to have data working just fine?

They could have reconfigured the antennas... I have seen this happen... And seen decreased signal in some areas
